Hello everyone! Today, I want to talk about a big word: Patriotism. It simply means love for our country. But how do we show this love? Let's find some answers from a very wise teacher who lived long, long ago in China—Confucius.

大家好！今天，我想谈谈一个很大的词：爱国主义。它简单来说就是对祖国的爱。但我们如何表达这种爱呢？让我们从一位很久很久以前生活在中国的一位非常智慧的老师——孔子那里寻找答案。

Confucius taught us many things about how to be good people and good citizens. One of his most famous ideas is: “Do not do to others what you do not want done to yourself.”

孔子教给我们很多关于如何做好人、好公民的道理。他有一个最著名的思想：“己所不欲，勿施于人。”

So, what does this have to do with loving our country? Well, a country is made of people! To love our country means to care for the people in it. It means being kind to our classmates, helping our neighbors, and respecting our teachers and parents. When we are good to each other, we are making our country a better and happier place.

那么，这和爱国有什么关系呢？一个国家是由人民组成的！爱我们的国家意味着关心国家里的人。意味着对同学友善，帮助邻居，尊重老师和父母。当我们善待彼此，我们就是在让我们的国家变得更美好、更幸福。

Confucius also said that a good person must be "loyal and trustworthy." For us students, being loyal to our country doesn’t mean we have to do huge things. It starts with small actions.

孔子还说过，一个好的人必须 “忠诚和守信” 。对我们学生来说，忠于我们的国家并不意味着我们必须做惊天动地的大事。它始于小小的行动。

How can we show our love?

Be a good student. Learning hard is our most important job. The knowledge we gain today will help us build a better China tomorrow.

Follow the rules. At school, at home, in public places. Being responsible shows respect for our community.

Protect our environment. Throwing rubbish in the bin and saving water are small acts of love for our land.

保护我们的环境。 把垃圾扔进垃圾桶和节约用水都是对我们土地的小小的爱的行动。

Be proud of our culture. We can learn about Chinese history, stories, and holidays, and share them with others.

为我们的文化感到自豪。 我们可以学习中国的历史、故事和节日，并与他人分享。

This is how we practice patriotism every day. It’s not just about waving a flag on a holiday. It’s about our actions, big and small.

这就是我们每天践行爱国主义的方式。它不仅仅是在节日挥舞旗帜。它关乎我们的行动，无论大小。

Loving China means being the best version of ourselves. It means studying hard, being kind, and making our families and communities proud. That’s how we build a strong and wonderful country together.
